Directions
70 Exchange Street is located less than 10 miles from downtown Boston, and 15 minutes from Logan Airport. The building is easily accessible by bus and train (the MBTA bus and Commuter rail stations are located on the same block) and by car - as the building is situated at the intersection of Routes 1A & 129. The train ride to / from North Station is less than 20 minutes.

FROM BOSTON:
Take I-93 (The Expressway) to the Airport Exit and follow the signs for "Route 1A / Lynn," approximately 10 miles. When you cross over a drawbridge you will be in Lynn on the "Lynnway." Take a Left onto Market Street at the sign for "Downtown Lynn" - you are very close to 70 Exchange but you need to make a series of QUICK turns - so pay close attention to the following: Immediately turn Right onto Broad Street, this is still Rte. 1A; and then immediately turn Left onto Union Street (the MBTA parking garage will be on your left this entire time). At your Second traffic light you will be underneath the train tracks, (this is also the downtown bus stop) - Take a Right onto Exchange Street. Now you'll see the Lynn Item on your Left, 70 Exchange is the 3 story, buff colored building attached to the Item - the driveway is directly at the end of 70 Exchange, and is the only legal left turn you can make on Exchange Street, TAKE THIS to 70 Exchange's parking lot.

FROM I-95 / ROUTE 128:
Take Exit #44B, you will be following Route 129 East to 70 Exchange Street. As soon as you get off the highway you will enter a very large rotary, take the second exit. Now you go straight (the road actually curves a lot, but follow the most heavily traveled way, as this is Route 129 East) for approximately 5 miles. Now, to stay on Route 129 East you will be taking a Right just before an Exxon gas Station (This is the turn most people miss), now follow Boston Street (.7 miles) and take a Left at the first traffic light (there is a Super Stop & Shop on the corner). You will now follow Washington Street (exactly 1 mile) through downtown Lynn, and then turn Left onto Union Street (this is the 6th traffic light on Washington Street, but these can be difficult to count so I recommend looking out for the train overpass - Union Street is immediately after this on your Left). The first traffic light you come to on Union Street will be underneath the train tracks, and at the downtown bus stop - Take a Right onto Exchange Street.

From neighboring North Shore towns such as
MARBLEHEAD & SWAMPSCOTT:

Take Route #1A South (once in Lynn this will be called Broad Street), take a Right onto Exchange Street at the sign indicating Route 129 West (at this turn North Shore Community College will be within site, but located on Route #1A). IMMEDIATELY on your Right will be a driveway (this is directly before the building and the only legal right turn you can make on Exchange Street), TAKE THIS to 70 Exchange's parking lot.

BY TRAIN:
From North Station in Boston you will be taking the "Newburyport / Rockport Line" and Lynn will be the second stop (NOTE: Some trains stop at GE's River Works in Lynn - you do not want this as you are going to Central Square in downtown). Exit the platform where the front of the train stops. At the bottom of the stairs, you will go Right, and when you exit the train station continue straight toward the Lynn Item, 70 Exchange is the 3 story, buff colored building just beyond the Item. The 1st doorway you come to is the residential entrance.

BY BUS:
There are two main bus routes for downtown Lynn from Boston, but remember many other bus routes make a stop at Central Square. The 455 bus route runs between Haymarket and Salem Depot, while the 459 bus route runs between South Station and Salem Depot, and conveniently stopping at Logan Airport / Terminal C. When you arrive at the Central Square stop locate the building that says "Lynn Item." Walk straight toward the Lynn Item, 70 Exchange is the 3 story, buff colored building just beyond the Item. The 1st doorway you come to is the residential entrance.
